Feature 01 · The mentor

Talk to it like a friend who actually remembers.

Tell FACEME what you used and what your skin did, the way you'd text a friend. It reads your products against real ingredient data and reaction timing, tells you what's worth testing, and asks before it touches anything.

  • RemembersYour shelf, the test you're on day nine of, the week you slept badly. It brings them up before you do.
  • ReadsReal ingredient lists and the timing of your reaction. Not a quiz, not a score.
  • Says"Worth testing," never "you're allergic." When it's dermatologist territory, it says that too.
  • AsksAdd to your shelf, mark a suspect, start a two-week isolation test. Nothing happens until you tap.

Real conversation, captured from the app

A hand holding a phone showing a FACEME conversation: the user describes stinging after a new vitamin C serum; the mentor reads the timing, calls it worth testing, and offers a two-week isolation test.

The shortlist, and why.

The whole library, read against your own evidence — then the reasons in plain language, and the going price at a real shop.

  • ScreensThe open product database, read against the ingredients your own skin has flagged and what you told it sets you off.
  • ShowsWhy a product was blocked, and why a candidate came through. "Clearing your filters is an invitation to test, not a promise."
  • NeverPaid placement. No brand can pay to appear, and there are no affiliate links.
  • ChecksThe going price at real retailers, one tap, with no cut to FACEME.
FACEME's Discover new screen: the library read against the user's own reactions, the special request box, and the fitting that narrows the candidates to one.

It won’t fix your skin.
It’ll find what your skin agrees with.

Every label read against your own reactions, until the shortlist is one you can trust.

FACEME's Your story screen after a two-week test: the September calendar coloured day by day, red and orange at the start, violet in the middle, green and teal by the end, with two unlogged days left blank.

Feature 02 · The test

One suspect. Two weeks. Your skin is the evidence.

Mark the product you doubt and FACEME benches it: out of your routine, everything else left exactly as it was, one tap a night to say how your skin did. Two weeks later the pattern is yours to read, in colour.

  • BenchesThe suspect leaves your routine. Nothing else changes, so nothing else can take the blame.
  • ShortensThe routine gets shorter, not longer. Skipping is the treatment.
  • LogsOne tap a night: calm, settled, meh, irritated, flaring. The calendar takes the colour.
  • DecidesRed giving way to teal is a pattern, not a verdict. It says "likely" and "worth keeping off," never "you're allergic."

Before you open it

The first five minutes.

No account, no onboarding funnel. You tap the button and you’re in the app. This is the whole job.

  1. 01

    Add your shelf.

Point the camera at each barcode, or type the name. The label comes from the open product database, so you never type an ingredient list.

  2. 02

    Say what your skin did.

The way you’d text a friend. One line is enough; the timing is what it reads, and it asks before it changes anything.

  3. 03

Follow the read for two weeks.

It benches one suspect. You tap once a night. The calendar does the rest, and the answer is yours to read.

Is it a doctor?

No. It reads patterns and says “likely” and “worth testing,” never a diagnosis. If something is painful, spreading, or not improving, it tells you to see a dermatologist, and Your story has a one-page summary to bring along.

Where does my data live?

On your phone. There is no account and no login. What you tell the mentor goes to the model and comes back; your shelf and your history stay on the device, and you can export or wipe them from Settings. The privacy page says it in plain words.

What does it cost?

Nothing on the web today, and the label reads, shelf, routine and tests stay free. When the mentor becomes a subscription, a few dollars a month, that is the reason: FACEME takes no affiliate money, so you are the one paying and the one being served.

The deal

You’re the customer.
Not the brands.

No affiliate links. No paid placement. No score tuned to sell you something. That leaves FACEME exactly one side to be on, and it’s the one with the skin.

Write to me

Tell me what it got wrong.

FACEME is built by one person, and the read is only as good as the skin it has heard from. If it missed something, guessed badly, or you know what it should do next, I want the email.

Or write anything at all to benjilifelife@gmail.com. I read every one and answer most.
